HOT STAMPING SERVICE
Using our Hot Stamping Service in your project is a great way to get the WOW factor! When someone wants to add Hot Stamping Service to their project the first thing we do is create a “die” of the portion they’d like Foiled. We then take this “die” and, using pressure, bond the desired foil to the desired substrate. This can include paper, carton board, laminated board, plastics, corrugated board and much more.
WHAT IS HOT STAMPING?
Hot Stamping is a process that allows us to bond metallic and/or holographic foil to paper or other substrates in any shape/design imaginable.
HOT STAMPING PROCESS
The Hot Stamping Process is actually pretty straight forward. It can be broken down into 3 key elements. Pressure, Hot Stamp, Final Piece.
1. PRESSURE
The paper (or other substrate) is brought towards the Foil die with great force.
2. HOT STAMP
The substrate is then pressed against the die thereby transferring the foil to the substrate. The die is heated to a very high temperature. Usually between 300-500 degreed Fahrenheit.
3. PRINT
Once the pressure is released the paper will have been successfully transferred to the paper thereby giving you your final foiled piece.
SIZE
Hot stamping service is great for any sized piece. The largest size we run on via our Hot stamping machines is 20″ x 26″. Although, that would be one HUGE die!
QUANTITY
Hot Stamping Service can be used for any volume project! There is no minimum or maximum order quantity. However many you need!
QUALITY
Hot stamping is the top notch of printing. Adding Foil to your project is one of the best ways to give your piece a high quality look.
PROOFING
There is no real proofing process for foil stamping. Once you pick the foil you’d like to use we will send you a digital representation. If you need to see a print before we proceed a press check is always an option.
PRICE
Hot stamp pricing is dependent on the size of the artwork being foiled, the type of foil used and quantity of prints. With this being the case hot stamp pricing can vary from affordable to very expensive.
TURNAROUND
Hot Stamping turnaround is job dependent. Generally turnaround time on hot stamping services would not be considered quick.
