Direct mail is perfect for sending brochures, flyers, postcards and more to a large group of people. The process starts with a list of names that can be customer supplied or purchased directly. Lists purchased from us are tailored to individuals you believe would be interested in your business mail.

EDDM

EDDM targets homes.

EDDM is service that uses pre-defined USPS postal routes as the target. You pick zip codes you would like get your message out to and it is delivered door-to-door to random homes/businesses on that particular USPS Route. No list is required for this service.

EDDM mailings are limited to the regions you choose to target. These type of mailings are best for local campaigns.

Direct mail is great for spreading your message far and wide! To qualify for bulk mail postage you must mail at-least 501 pieces. There is no limit to how many pieces you can send.

EDDM

MIN: 200
MAX: 5000 (ppo)

EDDM is great for spreading your message to a targeted area! To qualify for EDDM postage you must mail at-least 200 pieces. There is a limit of 5000 pieces per post office, but you can always go to a different post office!

When using the direct mail service postal regulations are loosened. You are able to send all kinds of products including, but not limited to, Saddle Stitch Books, Complicated Brochures, Custom Die Cut projects, Rack cards and more!

EDDM

EDDM must follow
postal guidelines.

When using the EDDM mailing service strict postal regulations must be followed. We are limited to standard postcard and brochure sizes and configurations. Even though there are guidelines to be followed we are allowed to send very big sizes. For instance, 8.5”x 11” or larger sized postcards may be sent!

PRICES

The great thing about either direct mail services is the low cost per piece. We are able to get our message out to a large group of people at shockingly low rates. Postage cost is dependent upon many different criteria, including – Class, Size, Shape, Weight, Distance, Quantity and Tax Status. Below is the average cost to ship a mailing piece via each service.

SETUP

Each of these bulk mail services must be set-up properly to conform to postal regulations. In return, this ensures us a low postal rate. Each service has its own set of guidelines.

DIRECT MAIL

Direct mail has a more complex setup process, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This process allows us to hone in on specific targets to get our message out to. Getting started with a direct mailing requires a list of recipients and a permit. Don’t have these? No worries, we have you covered… just give us a call!

EDDM

EDDM is a much simpler setup process. It was designed to give small businesses the ability to promote themselves easily. It doesn’t require all of the complex setup that direct mail demands. In fact, It doesn’t even require an address! All EDDM requires is an indicia.

An indicia is a small addition made to your mailing piece that the post office uses in order to identify how your piece will be processed. Chances are you’ve seen indicias your entire life and never knew it.

In general, If you want to get your message out to a specific targeted group of people, then direct mail is right for you. If you want to get your message out to an area at a very low price, then EDDM is right for you.
