Summary

This Invitation Printing project turned out beautiful! It’s one of my favorite print invitations! I’m a sucker for metallic papers and beautiful design. I know one thing, If I received this invite in the mail I’d be showing up to the party!

To begin, this project was run via our offset printing presses using 4 color ink technology on Curious Collection’s Metallic Ice Gold Cover. It’s hard to tell from the photos, but the entire invite has a metallic sheen to it. Curious makes some amazing papers!

Next, the printed invitations were taken to our hot stamping department where they were stamped with a gold foil. Accomplishing this for this particular project is a meticulous process. If you’ll notice, when the invite is open, the gold foil is actually on opposite sides of the piece. This means that both sides have to be foiled perfectly so that when it folds together everything lines up. Not only that, but it also has to be in sync with the printing as well. Man, our guys are talented!

So, once the invitation had been foiled it was then scored in 4 places, hand folded, shrink wrapped and delivered. What an awesome print example to live up to!
