Summary

This Custom Invitation Printing Project really shows off our abilities here at D&D. This is a print project! Wow! Let’s delve into what went into it!

First things first, a killer paper was chosen for the pocket folder… Curious Collection’s Textured Papaya Cover. I tried to show how much of a sparkle it gives off in the photos, but they really don’t do it justice. The paper literally looks like a sunset. A Perfect Choice.

Did you know that you can utilize pocket folders for invitations!?!

The pocket folder has very little printing on it. A few lines of type were printed via our offset printing presses using Pantone® 871 (Metallic Gold). It was then taken over to our die-cutting machines where it was cut and scored into the invitation holding pocket folder you see pictured.

Next, the inner card and invitation printing were done via our offset printing press on 80# silk cover using the same Pantone® 871 (Metallic Gold). From there a portion of the cards were taken over to our Digital Printing Press to have the red sunset added to the back of them.

The Sunset you see in the center of the pocket folder is actually a piece of Curious Collection’s Translucent Gold Paper that was printed on our Digital presses. You can’t see it in the photos, but the invite sits behind this piece and the text of the invite actually shows through the paper in person.

At the same time, the RSVP Envelopes were being printed using one of our offset presses. They were printed on a standard A2 White Wove Envelope in process black.

Once everything was finished printing all the separate pieces were brought up to our bindery department where they were assembled into what you see in the photos. What a great looking project!
